A push or a pull
force
the force that brings nearly everything to a stop.
Friction
The point in an object that moves as if all the objects mass were concentrated at that point.
Center of Mass
Two or more forces exerted on an object. If effects cancel each other out, they do not cause a change in the object’s motion.
Balanced Forces
The effects of these forces don’t cancel each other. Anytime the forces acting on the object are _________, the net force is not zero and the motion of the object changes.
Unbalanced Forces
The Gravitational between you and the Earth. This would be different on another planet than on Earth.
Weight
An object will remain at rest or move with constant speed unless a net force is applied.
Newton’s First Law
This connects force, acceleration, and mass; it explains that an object acted upon by a force will accelerate in the direction of the force; acceleration equals net force divided by mass.
Newton’s Second Law
Forces always act in equal but opposite pairs; for every action there is an equal ad opposite reaction
Newton’s Third Law
