name 6 methods to restore an ecosystem
• master plan • reforestation • wetland restoration • controlling invasive species • bioremediation • bioaugmentation
what is master plan?
all techniques must be planned and coordinated in order to be successful
what is reforestation?
plant trees or seeds to protect the soil
what is wetland restoration?
restore water coverage, typical plants, and soil nutrients
what is controlling invasive species?
chemical / mechanical / biological methods
what is bioremediation?
introducing plants or fungi to break down / absorb toxins
what is bioaugmentation?
introducing organisms to replenish nutrients in soil
