How does over use of water threaten drinking water supplies.
Using more water than you need can lead to a shortage of water supply. Therefore there will not be enough water for the next person or for your future use. Without water there will be no drinking water and people will lose the ability to use water for daily tasks.
Ways people waste water:
• Showering for too long • Flushing toilet for too long • Small load of laundry instead of big • Cleaning cars/things with too much water
Why shouldnt pool with chlorine be emptied down storm drains
Pools with chlorine should not be emptied down storm drains as most of the drained water will connect back to oceans/lakes/rivers. This chlorine will contaminate the ecosystem and make the water undrinkable and unsafe for people and animals to drink.
Water systems affect the news as
Day to day temperature can make water evaporate, condensate or precipitate (rain). Temperature can also change the form of water (solid/liquid). If it is cold, water will become a solid like snow/ice.
Water is important as:
Water is crucial as a drinking source, without we would die Water is needed for plants to grow, food is created Water is used to clean items/wash things
