Method of Starch food test
• Use pestle+mortar to grind food. -Small piece of food put on white tile. -Add two drops of iodine solution -orange to blue-black then starch present.
Method of Sugar food test
-Use pestle+mortar to grind food -Mix food and 3cmcubed Benedicts reagent in boiling tube -Heat mixture in hot water bath for 3 min blue to brickred colour=sugar present
Method for protein food test
-Use pestle+mortar to grind food -Mix food sample with biuret reagent -Leave for two mins blue to purple=protein present
Method for lipid test
-Use pestle+mortar to grind food -Mix small sample w 1cmcubed ethanol -Pour ethanol into test tube of cold water -water turn milky white=lipids present
