O is the universal donor AB+ is the universal recipient

Those with a D antigen are referred as Rh+ or + Those without the antigen are referred to as Rh- or – In general, people do not produce Rh antibodies, whether they are Rh+ or Rh-, except where issues can occur with those who are Rh- negative
