#1
Front (Question)
What does DNA consist of?
Back (Answer)
DNA consists of 2 strands of nucleotides (double stranded). The 2 strands are coiled into a double stranded helix
#2
Front (Question)
Structure of DNA
Back (Answer)
DNA nucleotides contain deoxyribose sugar, phosphate and base. Nucleotides bond to form a a sugar-phosphate backbone The four bases are adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine and are complementary paired - AT, GC. The bases in the two stands are joined by hydrogen bonds Their base sequence of DNA forms the genetic code
#3
Front (Question)
What way do the strands of DNA run?
Back (Answer)
The stands are antiparallel (run in opposite directions). There is a deoxyribose sugar at the 3’ end and a phosphate at the 5’ end of each strand
