What is thinking procedurally?
Identifying the individual parts of a bigger problem So a large task can be broken down and tackled in smaller, more manage chunks
What is top down modular design
A common approach to solving a larger problem Breaks the problem down using stepwise refinement The task is split into smaller subtasks The subtasks can be split up into even smaller subtasks if necessary Until you end up with subtasks that perform one single function and can be tackled as small, independent modules The lowest level of subtasks can be assigned to individual programmers that can be written and tested in isolation
What are event-driven programs
They only take action in response to an event Eg. Clicking a button, selecting an option, typing on keyboard
