DDoS what does it stand for?
Distributed Denial Of Service
How does a DDoS work?
• Multiple machines infected by malware work together with the leader machine • Webserver is sent an overwhelming amount of traffic at the same time • This causes the web server to fail or time-out as a result. A denial of service.
How can data security be improved?
• Using anti-malware software • Using firewalls • Changing passwords regularly
3 ways how can we prevent the loss of data?
• Creating a backup (Lost data can be replaced) • Installing a Firewall (The network will be monitored and prevent attackers from gaining access and deleting data) • Installing Anti-malware software (If viruses are installed, they can be detected t and removed by the anti-malware software)
How can we prevent a keylogger from seeing what we type on a bank’s website?
Using a drop-down menu
Why may biometrics be superior to ordinary passwords?
They are unique to every individual making them difficult to replicate. Additionally, there is nothing to remember.
