What are the general functions of the Digestive , Excretory, Cardiovascular, and Respiratory System
Digestive System - Breaks down food into nutrients for the body Excretory - Removes waste chemicals from the body to maintain Homeostasis Respiratory System - The process that breaks down glucose into energy for the body Cardiovascular System - exchanges gases and brings nutrients to the cells
Ex for Cardiovascular and Respiratory System
Cardiovascular - Heart pumping blood through veins and arteries Respiratory - Oxygen getting breathed in by the Trachea and getting spread out by into the blood by thr Alveoli.
How does the respiratory and cardiovascular systems connect to cellular respiration
The cardiovascular and respiratory system connect to cellular respiration because the respiratory brings in O2 into the body which goes into the lungs. Circulatory system then pumps the oxygen throughout the body to the individual cells for cellular respiration
What are the two types of digestion
Chemical and mechanical
What are the Major organs
Circulatory system - Heart, arteries, veins, capillaries, lymphatic system - lymph nodes and lymph vessels Respiratory system - lungs - bronchi, Alveoli, diaphragm Excretory system - Kidneys, Liver, Bladder - ureter and uretha Digestive system - stomach
Where does the Digestive, Excretory, Circulatory, and Respiratory systems happen.
Digestive - stomach, small intestine Excretory - Liver, Kidney Circulatory - Veins, Arteries, Capillaries Respiratory - Lungs, Mouth, Nose
