Titration

Use pipette and pipette filler to measure out 25cm3 of acid

Pour the acid into a conical flask

Add 5-10 drops of methyl orange indicator

Place conical flask on white tile

Using a small funnel, fill a burette up to the 0cm3 line with alkali ensuring tap is closed

Position burette so that spout is over the top of the conical flask

Add the alkali dropwise into the from the burette into the conical flask

Once a colour change from red to yellow has occurred stop adding alkali

Note down the volume of alkali added.

Repeat steps 1-9 2 more times
