TYPES OF MIXTURE

homogeneous mixture of particles so small that they cannot be seen even with a microscope and will never settle to the bottom of the container (ex. soda, vinegar, gasoline, hydrogen peroxide, glass cleaner)

type of mixture with particles that are larger than those in solution, but still too light to settle out (ex. butter, whipped cream, yogurt, milk, fog)

heterogeneous mixture containing a liquid in which visible particles settle (ex. vegetable soup, italian dressing, chocolate milk, paint, muddy pond water)
